Muse, Dots and Grok Bot: what is the difference?

Muse, Dots and Grok Bot are persistent AI agents with different tool connections, access arrangements and controls. Their suitability depends on the work, permissions and availability required.

What are the main differences between Muse, Dots and Grok Bot?

Their documented connections, operating environments and controls differ, although all are designed for ongoing work across tasks. This comparison describes primary documentation checked on 6 October 2026, rather than a hands-on performance ranking.

Meta describes Muse connections to business tools including Canva and Shopify, with approval before publishing, sending or spending. OpenAI describes Dots as agents with a cloud computer and connected apps. SpaceXAI describes Grok Bot as persistent agents that retain context and work across tools. These descriptions establish the providers’ stated features. They do not establish which product produces better marketing work.

Are Muse, Dots and Grok Bot available to UK users?

Availability depends on the product, plan and rollout. Meta’s Muse announcement identifies US and Canada access. OpenAI’s Dots guidance excludes the UK from the individual Pro rollout but includes Business Premium across supported ChatGPT regions. Access can arrive gradually. The Grok Bot overview describes the product’s operation without establishing UK eligibility for every plan. A working product description does not by itself confirm that a particular account has access. Grok Bot overview

What kinds of marketing work can persistent agents support?

Persistent agents can support assignments that involve gathering information, preparing material and returning to ongoing tasks. The available connections and permissions determine which parts of a workflow they can carry out.

A research assignment and a publishing assignment have different consequences. Completing a sourced comparison does not establish the quality of an agent’s customer communication or its reliability in a separate tool.

The useful output remains the work itself: an accurate account of the requested information or a draft that fits its brief. Persistence allows continuity, while task quality still depends on evidence and review.

Do separate agents always have separate access?

Separate agent names do not necessarily mean separate files, sessions or permissions. Grok Bot’s documentation states that a user’s Bots share one cloud computer, including files, browser sessions and app logins. Grok Bot’s shared computer

Dots documents configurable action controls and warns that mistakes can occur when following rules. That differs from an absolute technical guarantee that every undesired action is impossible. Dots controls

The relevant boundary is the actual account configuration and connected access. Provider claims, configured controls and observed behaviour are different sources of information about that boundary.
